Great variety of breakfast foods. Everything seemed fresh.

Coffee was ok but could have been stronger.

Car park a tiny bit awkward.

The Gresham has a terrific location, especially if you want to use the "Hop On Hop Off" bus service which starts right around the corner. The room was nicely appointed. They did have fresh orange juice for breakfast. The crab salad for dinner was pretty good, when I finally got it.

When I walked in the door, not the rotating door which was out of order the entire time I was there, but the hard-to-open side doors, there was no one at the front desk! And this was at 9:15pm. I had to wait a few minutes just to check in. And no bellmen, either. Up in the room, I tried to call out by dialing "9" with no luck. So I dialed the front desk, no answer for at least a minute. I noticed the room was a little stuffy, no circulation. I checked the air-con, it was broken. I called down for maintenance, again no answer. So I just opened the window a bit and that sufficed. The next morning for breakfast, their "full Irish Breakfast" was canned mandarin oranges, canned peaches, fresh pineapple swimming in sugar syrup, watery scrambled eggs, overcooked fried eggs and cold toast. Afterward, I went to ask the concierge about tours and he was not at his desk, but rather talking to another hotel staffer away from his desk. He didn't even notice I was there until I asked him if he was the concierge. That evening I decided to eat at Toddy's, their restaurant, since it was raining heavily at getting a taxi would be difficult. The waitress indicated where I could sit and then didn't wait on me for at least 10 minutes! (I timed it.) When she finally stopped at my table after passing it at least 5 times, I said "you must be new here" and she said "no, I've been here for 12 years." I politely told her that I was disappointed, she apologised, and brought my pot of tea straightaway, and my main course five minutes later.
